Global Diplomacy Lab

Myriam Lyri is an intern at the Global Diplomacy Lab.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International and European Studies from the University of Piraeus in Athens, Greece, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in International Security Management at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht in Berlin.

She grew up in Greece, speaking both German and Greek, and lived in Germany for some years during her childhood before moving to Berlin last year for her studies. She is currently also learning Spanish.

After completing her Master’s degree, Myriam hopes to work in the human rights sector, possibly for an NGO, focusing on conflict-affected areas. She is passionate about making a positive impact in the world.

In 2022, Myriam interned at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specifically in the department dealing with Hellenism abroad, where she gained insight into diplomacy and international relations, reinforcing her commitment to global cooperation.
