Maia Gogiberidze has demonstrated a strong commitment to diplomacy and international relations throughout her career, focusing on sustainable solutions for development challenges such as poverty reduction, peace-building, and environmental protection. As Division Head at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Georgia and EU-funded Project Coordinator, she developed AA/DCFTA implementation action plans and negotiated on the Association Agenda, showcasing her adeptness in complex diplomatic negotiations.
Maia actively participated in gender equality initiatives with UN agencies and contributed to gender mainstreaming at Geostat. Her expertise extends to EU-Georgia cooperation in official statistics and policy development, highlighted by her work as a Research Consultant on the High Mountain Settlements Development Strategy for Georgia.
In her role as Counselor at the Embassy of Georgia to Hungary, she promoted multilateral economic relations and ensured diplomatic protocols for high-ranking officials, fostering cooperation with international organizations like the Danube Commission and the Visegrád Group (V4). Maia’s diverse experience, coupled with her strong analytical and communication skills, positions her as a valuable asset in fostering international cooperation and driving positive change.
