Inmaculada Navarro Pérez

Inmaculada Navarro is an expert on international health, social equality and consumer affairs and is currently an adviser in the Directorate-General for Relations with the Parliament and Senate at the Spanish Ministry of the Presidency.

Prior to that, she worked in the Spanish Ministry of Health for seven years after becoming a civil servant in 2008. Her experience in international health, including pharmaceutical knowledge, comes from her twelve years of professional experience in the private sector.

From October 2016 to the end of 2017, she was a fellow of the XIIIth Bellevue Programme, seconded to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in France, in the Direction générale de l’offre de soins, Sous-direction des ressources humaines du système de santé. 

She completed a Master’s in leadership and public management at the Menéndez Pelayo International University and the Spanish National Institute of Public Administration from September 2015 till June 2017. Nowadays she is secretary of the BAFE Board and leads the Spanish Region of the Bellevue Alumni Network.

She has worked in public health and training for health professionals. She has been the alternate in the Management Board of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control and a member of the Consumer Health Protection Committee of the Council of Europe.

In addition, she has represented the Spanish Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality in various working groups, committees, workshops and seminars at European level and at other international organisations (OECD, WHO, WHO/Europe, etc.).
