Dr. Yasser Kosbar is a digital learning expert with over a decade of experience in education. He earned his PhD in International Education and Development from the University of Sussex, focusing on education financing, gender and social inclusion, and the integration of digital technology in education and research. His research addresses critical issues such as the gender digital divide, digital citizenship, artificial intelligence in education (AIED), online and hybrid learning, and the internationalization of higher education across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Yasser has collaborated with international think tanks and multilateral organizations, including UNESCO, UNCTAD, ODI, and OECD. His technical expertise has supported education projects in low- and middle-income countries like Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Uganda. His recent publications explore financing digital learning, the gender digital divide, and artificial intelligence, establishing him as a leader in the intersection of digital technology and education. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and German, with a working knowledge of French.
