Sonya Zayneb Ouertani is currently serving as a project manager with the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ), promoting the rule of law and democratisation in post-conflict settings.
Her interest lies in impact-oriented and decolonising analyses of the development-humanitarian-peace nexus and the interconnectedness of peace processes and constitution-building.
Sonya holds a MA in politics and public administration from the University of Konstanz, Germany, with study visits at to Sciences Po Paris, France and the Balsillie School of International Affairs, Canada. She has considerable experiences of working in the field of international cooperation with German governmental and EU institutions in Thailand, Burundi, Jordan, North Macedonia &and Pakistan.
Additionally, she is socially active in Jewish-Muslim dialogue formats and political education on the diversity of Muslim lives in Germany.
