Karen Daniela Ortiz Figueroa was born in California, United States of America. At the age of seven she moved to Guatemala, where she studied international relations and she has worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala for more than ten years. She is currently serving as First Secretary and Consul at the Embassy of Guatemala in Germany, this being her first destination as a diplomat, which has been an enriching experience for her professional growth. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, watching movies and being with her family.
